Masked Affair! "Dun dun dun!" ;)

Well I did it. I was able to track down the beloved Masked Affair from Loreal! I am in Utah and found it at Smith's (Kroger or Fred Meyer depending where you are).
It is beautiful! As you can see, (it was cold outside, thus the gloves on my hands,) it is a purple/sliver mix with a very fine holo. Awesome on its own, perfect for nail art-- perfect any way you want it! I'm tempted to just carry it around to look at it all day in different lighting! The photo below Is outside, partly cloudy weather.
Here's a close-up of the color:
Isn't that awesome?!

Glitter Gradient!

Today during the boy's nap time I had some fun with nail art...... Which I'm surprised myself that I did that because usually I sleep the entire time they sleep! But today I had an itch to paint! This is what I came up with:
The purple is "Flashing Lilac" by Loreal-- this was from their Summer 2014 Neon collection that was LE (limited edition) and I used 3 coats. The glitter is Essie's "Set in Stones" and I just dabbed it in starting at the free edge of the nail and dragging down a bit. I then top-coated using 2 coats of HK Girl by Glisten and Glow-- which is literally the best top coat in the universe! :)
This shot isn't as "nice", but it does a good job of showing the true color of the purple.

Another past nail art!

Well here's another one! This was inspired entirely by Nicole who is "youngwildandpolished" over on YouTube and Instagram. Obviously hers was MUCH better! I used Mellow Yellow by Sally Hansen (original awesome formula) and the blue is Dive In, also by Sally Hansen.

First picture!

I am mostly posting this picture just to make sure I know how! But this nail art is one of my favorites and was really easy to do-- not an original idea-- just putting that out there... This was something I found online. The color combination was my idea, but the leopard print concept was not original to me. Anyway, enjoy! Also, I'm well aware that my cleanup is non-existent and my hands look..... Gross. I have eczema really bad and nail polish remover hurts like the dickens so I avoid it at all costs! But-- you get the idea, even with my nasty hands! :) please forgive me!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome!
There's a very good chance that Iay be the only one that ever reads this blog, but that's ok! I'm doing this for me right now anyway, so it's alright by me.
I had the idea to start this blog because of how much I love nail polish! I love to collect it, organize it, paint my nails with it (go figure!) and I also love to hunt it-- thus the name of my blog. If I hear about a collection I can't wait to get my mitts on, I hunt. It. Down! And finally finding it is so fun!
One of the first projects I have in mind for the blog is to do an "inventory" of sorts on the polish I already have. My hope is to do a "swatch and thoughts" on what I have at this point.....
I think that is all for one night! I've got some serious polishing to do! :)
